{"id":2,"date":"2010-12-06T06:45:20","date_gmt":"2010-12-06T06:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinacarbon.info\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2014-08-07T11:41:18","modified_gmt":"2014-08-07T03:41:18","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.chinacarbon.info\/?page_id=2","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>China Carbon Forum (CCF) was established in 2007 by professionals in China\u2019s climate change sector as a non-for-profit organization to exchange information, best practices and engage with China\u2019s climate change stakeholders, since then, CCF has held over <span style=\"color: #000000;\">40 events<\/span> and discussions on specific climate change topics; facilitated countless linking opportunities between China\u2019s climate change stakeholders; and attracted high-level stakeholders such as China\u2019s chief climate negotiator (Su Wei), the European Commissioner for Climate Action (Connie Hedegaard) and President of World Resources Institute (Manish Bapna). CCF now has a network of more than 1,400 experts and professionals spanning all areas of China\u2019s climate change community.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 CCF\u2019s activities feature a series of high-level events, called the Low Carbon Leadership Network, delivered in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). CCF plans to continue improving the quality and breadth of its services to China\u2019s climate change community, and to existing partners.<\/p>\n<p>CCF operates under the direction of an executive board and board of advisors made up of Chinese and foreign professionals from various stakeholder groups in China\u2019s climate change sector. The board and advisory members serve in a voluntary capacity without remuneration.
