Secretary General Zhao thanked for the visit, recognised the importance of environmental\u00a0taxes, promised to transmit the document to \u00a0the CCOIC\u2019s Environment and Energy Commission \u2013 and suggested that the topic might be discussed at the ICC G20 event planned for September in Beijing.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Prior to the meeting Mr Chris Lenon had luncheon in the three-century old \u201cSerene Courtyard\u201d residence with members of CCF discussing the significance and scope of the ICC \u201cEnvironmental Taxation Principles\u201d principles.<\/p>\n<p>China Carbon Forum appreciates\u00a0 the link we have with the World Business Organization\u00a0 (our Chairman having a few functions in\u00a0 the ICC Paris secretariat), the more so since RIO+20 saw increased participation \u00a0from the business side, and the G20 giving recognition to ICC\u2019s role as the voice of business.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; 4th July 2012 In a meeting arranged by China Carbon Forum, Mr Chris Lenon hands the ICC\u2019s \u201cEnvironmental Taxation Principles\u201d to Secretary General Zhao Xiaodi of ICC China\u2019s National Committee, on the very day, those Principles were published worldwide.
