Building on interest surrounding recent news of China’s INDC announcement, as well as increased environmental enforcement and blue sky days in Beijing, China Carbon Forum recently interviewed two experts from organisations that work at the intersection of environment and economy in China: Ms. Elle Carberry, a Managing Director for the Paulson Institute’s Beijing Office, and Mr. Calvin Quek, Head of Sustainable Finance at Greenpeace East Asia.

China Carbon Forum recently met with Ms. Wu Changhua, the Greater China Director of The Climate Group. A China specialist for nearly twenty years, and an environment and development policy analyst, she leads the organisation’s strategic development in the region and manages its greater China operations. We get her view on China’s recent INDC announcement, its role on the global stage of climate change negotiations, and the important work that her and her colleagues are doing.

China Carbon Forum recently met up with Mr. Tim Yeo, former Chair of the UK Parliaments’ Energy and Climate Change Committee, whilst he was visiting China. In a wide-ranging interview centered on China, we discuss many things such as Carbon Markets, the Paris COP, Shale Gas, and IP Protection. We start the interview by asking Tim about his support to a global carbon market.

Audio Interview with Professor Zou Ji and Dr Fu Sha, National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC)

Further to the NCSC’s analysis of China’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) published yesterday, we today conducted an interview with the authors of the analysis: Professor Zou Ji, the NCSC Deputy Director, and his colleague Dr. Fu Sha. The discussion provides an overview of China’s INDC, as well as deeper insights into its level of ambition.
