The China Carbon Forum and China International Mining Group (CIMG) invited members and relevant interested parties to an exclusive speaker and networking event in a traditional Manchu courtyard.
Guest speakers, including Neil Butler from Harworth Power UK Coal Ltd., spoke about their experience venting methane to produce power. David Creedy of Sindicatum Carbon Capital related this to CDM in China, considering both investors and project developers. This was followed by a speech from Dr. Wolfgang Gherhardt, Senior Vice President of BASF, on the global convictions towards addressing climate change. This was also an event for members to receive updates on progress related to WikiCarbon and to network with the rest of the impressive turnout.
